Although I trained as a classical musician I had nurtured a desire to work with clay from childhood.

 

My inspiration is primarily derived from nature ; the contours flower heads and the colours of the ever changing effects of light on land, water and sky.

 

Created from stoneware clay finely thrown, my pots are light and strong but durable. A family of useful forms - plates, bowls, mugs, jugs, vases, platters, oven to table dishes and Teapots - are all happy in the oven and dishwasher, although many remain on display to be loved and enjoyed as pieces of art.

 

The amazement of transforming clay into an object of use and beauty will never leave me.
